The Virginia Stage Company is seeking actors for A Merry Little Christmas Carol by Mark Shanahan, adapted from the novella by Charles Dickens.
You’ll love this re-imagining of Dickens’ timeless classic as it brings to life the Spirits of Christmas on the historic Wells Theatre stage. Watch Ebenezer Scrooge’s haunting journey unfold with inventive theatricality incorporating traditional holiday music harmonizing to produce a tour de force of laughter, hope, and the magic of the season. Don’t miss this heartwarming tale that reminds us that it is never too late to become our best selves.
Auditions are by confirmed appointment only and will be held at The Wells Theatre.

A small cast, wildly theatrical adaptation of Dickens' classic is filled with heart and tailored specifically for Virginia Stage Company. Seeking three actors who are game to create a new Carol. Seeking one violinist in the bunch, accordion, percussion, or any other musical skills, vocal or instrumental, a huge plus. Type, age, ethnicity not important other than it is critical to have a widely diverse acting company. British dialects could be used in certain roles, but are not necessary as a base.
