GSA's and VSC's Summer Theatre Camp will provide a diverse range of engaging activities to enrich your child's summer experience! Aside from the daily theater-related activities, campers will also get to experience the Slover Library and Chrysler Museum. Our Summer Theatre Camp offers more than just a place to spend summer days. It is a place for your child to learn and grow.
It is important that students are here every day of class and arrive on time. If a child needs to miss a day of camp or will be late, please let Virginia Stage Company know in advance with as much notice as possible. If a child misses a day of camp, tuition will not be prorated.
WHAT TO BRING:
Campers will need to pack a snack/lunch and drink for each day of camp. No microwave will be accessible. Please also include any utensils your child may need. We encourage students to bring a water bottle. During camp scripts will be distributed to campers as the play is being developed. Students will be expected to return each day with their scripts.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Campers should dress comfortably, but please, NO FLIP-FLOPS or CROCS. Please be aware that our students move a lot and sit on the floor for some parts of their classes and workshops.
On the last day, campers will share their production with family and friends. The 30 minute performance will begin at 5:30PM on the final Friday of each camp in the Wells Theatre. Since Sessions 2 & 3 and 4 & 5 run concurrently, they will present the same evening with a brief intermission.
