Entry Policy for The Wells Theatre

ENTRY PROCEDURES(aS of 8/26/2022)

Virginia Stage Company is committed to ensuring the wellbeing of our patrons, artists and staff.

As we follow the city of Norfolk’s COVID-19 cases and updated CDC guidelines, we are lifting the mask mandate.  Masks will be recommended to wear inside the building but will not be required.  Disposable masks will be available at the theater for any patron in need.

Concessions will be available before the performance time and during the first intermission. They will be allowed to be consumed at your seat.

Should you experience symptoms of COVID-19 before your performance, you may call the box office and we will issue an exchange or refund, no questions asked.

Our commitment to our patrons and staff:

VSC requires all staff members to be 100% vaccinated as defined by the CDC.  Booster shots are strongly encouraged.  All staff and volunteers will be encouraged to wear masks inside the theater building.

As we started with the 2020 production of A Christmas Carol, we continue to perform a deep clean of the house and lobby, including disinfecting door handles, counters, and all shared surfaces prior to, during, and after every performance.

We have optimized air quality in the lobby areas of the Wells using ScentAir NanoStrike purifiers, which destroys airborne pathogens by 99.99%.

Hand sanitizer is also available at the box office, at the entrances to the theater, and throughout the building.

For a touchless ticket experience, we are issuing electronic (print-at-home and mobile) tickets. Your mobile tickets will be available on the "My Account" portal.  Digital playbills will also be available to download from your pre-show email.

As we have learned during the past two years, the Covid-19  pandemic is a fluid target and we must be ready to make adjustments as circumstances change.  We will continue to monitor our area and if we need to make adjustments to our current Entry Procedures, we will update here.  We will evaluate this current policy after October 2nd.

Thank you for your patience with us as we navigate through this.
