Meet the Cast of WAIT UNTIL DARK

Suspense is unforgiving. If even one moment feels false, the tension collapses. That is why casting Wait Until Dark matters so much.

This production brings together a cast with deep experience across Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional theatres, television, and film. Some are making their Virginia Stage Company debut. Others are returning to familiar ground. All of them are tasked with something deceptively difficult: holding an audience in absolute attention.

At the center is Meredith Parker as Susan, making her VSC debut. A longtime associate artist with Flint Repertory Theatre, Parker brings emotional precision and restraint to a role that demands both vulnerability and resolve.

Returning to the Wells is Steve Pacek as Mike, whose VSC credits include The Hound of the Baskervilles, The 39 Steps, and Dial M for Murder. Pacek’s work consistently balances charm with unease, a necessary combination in this world.

Triney Sandoval brings extensive Broadway, Off-Broadway, and television experience to the role of Carlino. With credits spanning Shakespeare, contemporary drama, and major television series, Sandoval adds a quiet authority that keeps the stakes grounded.

As Roat, and serving as Fight Director, Seth Andrew Bridges makes his Virginia Stage Company debut. His background in stunt work and screen acting sharpens the physical danger of the piece, where movement and stillness matter equally.

Making his VSC debut as Sam is Mike Gerbi, a New York-based actor and filmmaker whose stage and screen work emphasizes clarity, tension, and emotional truth.

Rounding out the cast is Wyllow Smith as Gloria, returning to Virginia Stage Company after two seasons in A Christmas Carol. Her presence adds an unexpected emotional layer that deepens the play’s sense of risk.
Wait Until Dark is not about spectacle. It is about timing, trust, and what happens when the lights go out and the audience leans forward instead of back.
This cast is built for that kind of theatre.

Wait Until Dark runs January 28 through February 15 at the historic Wells Theatre. Tickets are on sale now at vastage.org.
