Virginia Stage Company seeks a highly motivated, skilled and experienced marketing professional to join the senior operations team at an exciting point in the company’s history. They will work in close partnership with executive leadership and an energized Board and staff to thoughtfully engage with the greater Hampton Roads community. Overseeing all marketing and communications functions, the Marketing Director will also lead the Front of House team and collaborate with colleagues across departments to achieve the theatre’s mission. The qualified candidate will support high artistic standards, strengthening connections with a rapidly growing community, and successfully engage loyal audiences. This position presents an opportunity for the right candidate to join the staff of one of Norfolk’s most important cultural assets, a leading non-profit currently celebrating 40 years of theatre-making.

Box Office Supervisor

Virginia Stage Company, Hampton Roads Leading Professional Theatre Company, is looking for a highly skilled customer service professionals to serve as the Box Office Supervisor. Reporting to the Box Office Coordinator, this position will be the primary customer service representative and ticket seller for day time and show shifts. Supervision of staff is required when the Box Office Coordinator is not on site.

Non-Show Weeks: Approximately 30 hours | Monday-Friday | 9am to 5pm
Show Weeks: Approximately 35 hours | daytime, evening, weekends
Seasonal: August - Early June

Experience with customer service or ticket sales is a must.
Experience with employee supervision is a plus.
Tessitura experience is a dream.

Virginia Stage Company seeks dynamic professional artists of all theatrical disciplines to join a vibrant roster of collaborative teaching artists - Summer 2019 and School Year 2019-2020 positions available! Virginia Stage Company Teaching Artists are placed in short and long term residencies across the 7 cities to teach their craft and assist students in increasing academic and life skills. Actors, designers, writers, technicians, technical directors, production managers, singers, dancers, and stage managers with professional experience and an interest in working with students and adults in Hampton Roads are encouraged to apply.

Volunteers are vital to Virginia Stage Company, and as a member of Virginia Stage Associates, you become an important part of an organization dedicated to giving the gift of live, professional theater to Hampton Roads.
