LOVE LETTERS at the Wells Theatre
FEBRUARY 9-10, 7:30pm
WELLS THEATRE
Two of Hampton Roads favorite actors, Chris Hanna and Julie Fishell, perform this touching story of lifelong love as a staged reading fundraiser for Virginia Stage.
The story of this Pulitzer Prize-nominated play unfolds as Andrew and Melissa, two life long friends, read cards, notes, and letters they have written to each other over nearly 50 years beginning when they were children. They remain close through their writing though he goes off to excel at Yale and join the war, while she flunks out of school and gets married. Through the decades they come together and float apart physically, but the love is ever present. This poignant story of friends who never lose their timeless connection is perfect for a date or ladies night out.
