OUR MISSION
It is our mission to make our community a better place to live. Theatre is one of the few places in this increasingly divided society where a disparate, diverse group of people comes together, puts their phones down, and listens to someone else’s story for a few hours. Sometimes what the community needs is to come together to share a laugh or enjoy some fantastic music or dance, and sometimes we need to come together to tackle the thorny issues that divide us. It is in that community conversation where we can grow.
EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT
Our goal is to bring live theatre to every student in Hampton Roads! Whether that be through our Student Matinees, Summer Camps or Classroom Resources that teachers can implement for their students.
ACCESSIBILITY
We believe that theatre should be for everyone. We strive to provide ADA Accessible Seating, Assistive Listening Devices, ASL Interpreted, Open Caption and Audio Described Performances and Sensory-Friendly Kits to support audience members with sensory needs.
TOURING PRODUCTIONS
Our touring productions of Every Brilliant Thing and GreenBeats Live! gives us an opportunity to bring theatre to the community. Whether it’s a school, library, community center, or art space, our productions are built to travel and perform anywhere.
