The merry, mysterious hit returns! In Mark Shanahan’s joyful and clever play, Moriarty is dead, and Sherlock is a haunted man. But when a grown Tiny Tim comes knocking on Sherlock’s door asking for an investigation into the untimely death of Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge, the Great Detective must use his gifts to solve a Dickens of a Christmas case!

  • SCOTT WICHMANN (Sherlock Holmes) is proud to return to the Wells for the holidays. Previous VSC appearances include Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors, Cardinal Richelieu in The Three Musketeers and Lazar Wolf in Fiddler on the Roof. Recent credits include the Reverend Shaw Moore in Footloose at Virginia Musical Theatre, Black ‘Stache in Peter and the Starcatcher (Firehouse Theatre), the Ensemble of Sweeney Todd (Va Arts Festival) and Frank Abignale, Sr., in Catch Me If You Can (VMT). Regional Theatre: A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder, 1776, The Producers, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Say Goodnight Gracie (Va Rep); I Am My Own Wife (5th Wall); Brimstone (Berkshire Theatre Festival) The Life of Galileo (Studio Theatre), and The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama.   • GREG DRAGAS (Actor 1- Dr. Timothy Cratchit & others) Born in Norfolk, VA, Greg has spent most of his professional career as an educator in Virginia Beach. He has been active on local stages for many years and holds degrees from The College of William & Mary and Wake Forest University. Greg is currently part of VSC's touring production of Every Brilliant Thing, performing at a number of venues around Hampton Roads and beyond. Other recent credits include Emma (Mr. Elton/Frank Churchill) with Virginia Stage Compay, Frankenstein (Victor Frankenstein) with CORE Theatre Ensemble, My Brother Death (Jeremy) with Zeiders American Dream Theater, Pride & Prejudice & Dragons (Mr. Bingley) with ROŪGE, and As You Love It (Bartholomew Callow) with Zeiders American Dream Theater.

  • PATRICK HALLEY (Actor 3- Dr. Watson & others) happily returns to Virginia Stage Company, after A Sherlock Carol (2024), A Merry Little Christmas Carol (2023, 2024), and The Hound of the Baskervilles (2018). He is a New York-based actor whose work has been seen Off-Broadway and at many of the country’s major resident theaters, including The Alliance Theatre, Denver Center Theatre Company, The Pearl Theatre Company, Cleveland Play House, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Pioneer Theatre Company, Westport Country Playhouse, Baltimore Center Stage, Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Syracuse Stage, Peoples Light, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Flat Rock Playhouse, Theatre SilCo, Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre, TheatreSquared, and four seasons with Hudson Valley Shakespeare. Patrick has appeared on television in Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Difficult People, and several national commercials. He is a Bucknell graduate and native of Poughkeepsie, NY.   • BEATTY BARNES, JR (Ebenezer Scrooge) is excited to be returning in this production of VSCs A Merry Little Christmas Carol. Beatty discovered his theatrical talent as a stand-up comedian traveling the country from coast to coast. Some credits include ABC's America's Funniest People, Comcast Comedy Spotlight, and HBO's Aspen Comedy Festival. His acting credits include: Othello, Top Dog/Underdog, Macbeth, 100, Coriolanus, Our Town, A Raisin in the Sun, and numerous productions with CORE Theatre Ensemble.

Recent adventures include playing Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet with Rogue, performing in As You Love It at Zeiders American Dream Theatre, and serving as a Post-Mortem Judge for VTA 2025.
