All the submitted pieces will be displayed in the Wells Theatre lobbies during the run of CROWNS, so stop by the theater early to take a look around.

Zawan Granger
is and independent Hat Design Artist who resides in Portsmouth,
VA. Zawan, using his natural artistic abilities, began designing hats in 2001. He
designed and sold his unique hats to well-known fashion designers for women.
Soon after Zawan formed his own company, Z’s Boutique, that
furnishes hats to women across the United States. In 2004 he established a
reputation among women in the church and became known as “The Hat Man.”
He has sold originally designed hats to first ladies and distinguished women of
different denominations including Baptist, COGIC, AME, and more. Zawan has
traveled throughout the east coast selling his original designed hats to countless
women and men during conferences, workshops, and conventions.
Kathren McCartney & Anne Ward
What started ou as being co-workers has evolved into decades of being friends. Both Kathren and Anne are nurses who enjoy crafts and frequently attend performing arts events.
