Pay What You Choose Night for The Heart Sellers

Oct 15

Your Ticket. Your Price. A Whole Lot of Heart! Pay What You Choose Night for The Heart Sellers

What if you could enjoy a night of professional theatre and decide for yourself what your ticket costs?

Well, on Tuesday, October 20, you can!

Virginia Stage Company invites you to a special Pay What You Choose performance of The Heart Sellers at 7:30 PM at the historic Wells Theatre in downtown Norfolk.

It's our way of making live theatre more accessible and welcoming to everyone. Whether you're a longtime theatre lover or someone who's never set foot inside the Wells, we want you to experience the magic of sharing a great story.

Two Strangers. One Thanksgiving. An Unexpected Friendship.

It's Thanksgiving, 1973, and Luna and Jane have a few things in common. They're both new to America, both a long way from home, and neither has any idea what to do with an American Thanksgiving.

Luna is from the Philippines. Jane is from South Korea. They've only just met, but with a little wine, some dancing, a few kitchen adventures, and plenty of laughter, an unlikely friendship begins to blossom.

Written by Lloyd Suh and directed by Desdemona Chiang, The Heart Sellers is a funny, touching, and deeply human story about finding connection in unfamiliar places.

And while the story takes place more than 50 years ago, its themes of immigration, friendship, and belonging feel especially meaningful today.

Great Theatre Should Be for Everyone

We believe the experience of live theatre should be something everyone can enjoy.

That's why we're offering this special Pay What You Choose performance. You decide what you can pay for your ticket and join us for an evening of laughter, connection, and a story that just might stay with you long after the curtain falls.

Never been to the Wells? This is the perfect opportunity to discover what you've been missing.

Already love live theatre? Bring someone who's never experienced it!
