On Thursday, September 17 at 6:45 PM, Virginia Stage Company welcomes Gina Dalmas to the Wells Theatre for a special intimate pre-show performance.
The performance is free for patrons attending Come From Away that evening and is our way of adding something special to the experience before the main event begins.
A familiar voice in the Hampton Roads music community, Gina brings a warm, roots-inspired sound that feels right at home alongside the music, storytelling, and sense of community at the heart of Come From Away. Settle in, enjoy the music, and let Gina help set the mood for the story that follows.
Come From Away tells the remarkable true story of 7,000 airline passengers stranded in Newfoundland following the events of September 11, 2001, and the small communities that opened their homes and hearts to complete strangers. Filled with music, humor, humanity, and unforgettable characters, it is ultimately a story about what can happen when people choose to take care of one another.

About Gina Dalmas
Gina Dalmas is a Norfolk-based country and Americana artist with what has been described as a “rock ’n’ roll heart.” Raised in the foothills of North Carolina, Gina grew up surrounded by classic country and honky-tonk music, influences that continue to shape her sound today.
Her music reaches deep into the roots of country while drawing inspiration from an eclectic collection of artists, from Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn to The Pretenders, Blondie, The Beatles, Big Star, and The Cars. The result is music that feels both familiar and distinctly her own: honest, heartfelt, a little irreverent, and grounded in great storytelling.
Gina has been a longtime part of the Hampton Roads music scene, performing with The Heart Stompers and other local musicians. Her work has earned multiple honors, including Veer Magazine Awards for Best Country Artist and recognition for Americana and alt-country music.
